The Gap Between Good Taste and Good Work

Most of the creative work that I do is a disappointment to me: a common feeling that a lot of people have when they first start doing creative work. They have good taste - that's why they started doing creative work  -  but the things they create are just not as good as they want them to be.

This is the subject of the Ira Glass speech in following animated short. He offers simple yet remarkably profound advice on how to close the gap between your creative ambitions and the work you produce.

The speech was animated by film maker David Shiyang Liu

I can definitely relate to this in my own experience. What do you guys think?
