The brief for this project was to come up with an idea for a newsletter.
As I am a musician and love music I decided I wanted to create a kind of band fanzine / newsletter.
I chose the band Doves to base this on because I had previously been involved with a tribute album put together on dovesmusicblog.com. Along with a friend and my brother we contributed a track to the album.
Obtaining permission to use content from the blog site was fairly straight forward. The band gave me permission as well as the guy who runs the blog site.
I created the logo based on one of Doves album names, which I thought fit perfectly for the newsletter.
Designing band logos or cd covers, fanzines or newsletters is something I would like to do a lot more of.
